Veganised Caesar Salad

The caesar salad is a notorious favourite. Known for its simplicity, and the “all in the sauce” concept, caesar salad is one that I did miss.

Typically, caesar sauce is not of vegan origin, containing egg or dairy, and even anchovies.

This salad however, isn’t focusing on what we can’t do, more so, what we can do with our veganised alternatives.

How to veganise caesar salad

Well it’s easy, replace the caesar sauce with our vegan one.

The Parmesan with a hint of nutritional yeast, and ensuring your croutons don’t contain anything non-vegan, simple!

What is a vegan caesar salad?

A vegan caesar salad is exactly what you’d expect from a “regular” caesar salad, just with veganised ingredients.

The aim is to have as little difference as possible, for those looking to prove themselves or others wrong in the sense that we vegans can’t eat regular food!

What goes well with vegan caesar salad?

Caesar salad is white bland on its own, we recommend having it alongside something else.

For instance, you can pair it alongside a vegan lasagne, perhaps a chick’n Alfredo or even some simple bruschetta.

I also like to pair caesar salad with bbq foods such as burgers, but each to their own!

This recipe is great for those looking for a twist in their regular salad game; anyone with minimal ingredients and extra vegan caesar lying around; or kids who are fussy with eating their greens.
